Premier Power offers a range of 1.6 Sigma Performance Engines. Even in standard form this strong, lightweight aluminium engine will produce 135 horsepower when fitted with one of our Induction Kits. The Premier Power F135 1.6 Sigma Engine offers an entry level engine in a mild state of tune. The engine features a standard engine that will have been stripped, deburred and carefully re-assembled to ensure ultimate reliability and performance. The engine is also fitted with a modified cam belt tensioner and tensioner lock to prevent the cam belt jumping which could cause serious damage to the engine. The standard camshafts will be accurately set to give the best drivability and performance. The engine is fitted with a set of our performance throttle bodies and air filter kit and can be supplied with one of our programmed ECUs complete with map. The engine once assembled would then be run-in on the dyno and performance tested to ensure it meets our performance targets. We are also able to supply the engine complete with alternator and starter motor giving you a complete turnkey installation. This entry level engine provides you the customer with a budget performance engine that is a good starting platform for future upgrades. There are several options available at this level which are mainly aimed at improving in car installations. Options include, dry sump installation, light weight flywheels and up-rated clutches. Many large road car manufacturers are reducing engine capacity to meet strict emission regulations. With this in mind, Premier Power is endeavouring to get ultimate performance together with reliability and longevity from smaller engine capacities. The Premier Power F200 Sigma is a 200 Horsepower normally aspirated 1.6 Sigma engine developed for lightweight sports cars. It offers a serious performance upgrade for customers who do not wish to re-engineer a complex new installation using a different replacement engine. The unit supplies a massive 200 Horsepower coupled with excellent drivability – equally at home on road and at the track. Its excellent transient driving characteristics ensure smooth power delivery throughout the rev range, meaning it is comfortable to drive even in city traffic. In addition the engine meets most circuit noise level regulations - so customers can actually drive their cars on track. Crucially the F200 has good longevity, reducing rebuild costs and providing customers with excellent value for money.

The Premier Power Custom Engineered 1.6 Sigma Engine specification is totally reliant on the brief given to us by the customer. Premier Power can help with selecting components required to build the engine which is normally dependant on the customer’s requirements and budget. It will use a standard engine that will be stripped, modified, de-burred and carefully reassembled.
This engine can be fitted with numerous uprated components including:
• Steel crankshaft and con-rods
• Performance pistons and piston rings
• Competition camshafts and valve springs
• Modified and ported cylinder head.
• Over size valves
• Dry sump oil system.
• Competition light weight flywheel and performance clutch
Once assembled the engine will be run-in and set up on the dyno before being power tested. As this is likely to be a be-spoke specification, Premier Power will require the vehicle exhaust system to ensure the engine calibration is matched as closely as possible on the dyno to the in vehicle installation.
